I have a 2.5yr old and his not actually toilet trained yet as my 3.5yr old is going backwards in toilet training Ive been given advice on my 3.5yrold by you helpful people,But my younger one keeps taking his pullup off without any intention of telling me hes done number 2s so i find him with nothing on and a dirty backside and finding a number two pullup on the floor some where and all over the carpets I try telling him to tell me when he needs to do poos but he dosesnt aussi mum screams for help

mum to be, I can't advise on what to do but I can tell you of a similar thing.

my nephew has had a major problem with number twos! A whole stage of simply doing them in his pants because he hates them and is obviosly embarrased by them. Obviously not good for us who have to then get it into the toilet!! But a miracle happened two weeks ago while I was looking after him and he stood there, looked at me with a panic stricken face and said "Aunt Lisa, I need to do a poo". With that we rushed upstairs and he done the whole lot on the toilet.

It is frustrating while it is happening but I'm sure you will have a breakthrough soon. You could bribe him with a small present (miniture toy car or something) if he does a number 2 on the toilet.But I hope my story gives you some hope, it comes to them all eventually and they will do nothing until they are ready.

do u leave a potty for him to try? also have you ever read the book "i want my potty?" the princess wont use the potty but takes a liking to it in the end try reading that to your son and he might just change his mind

Hi there. When my little girl was 2 i started potty training. I'd keep the potty in the bathroom. I noted the time of day (everyday) that she'd need the loo, which was normally after breakfast, so every morning after breakfast i'd take her to the bathroom and just sit her on the potty. Sometimes i'd read her a story while she was on there or just sing, she'd often get embarrased but because i was keeping her busy by reading and stuff she just went ahead and used the potty. Sometimes it would take me 15 mins before she was comfortable enough the use the potty but i was persistant, i didn't push her and just let her do it at her own pace or when she was ready. By the age of 3 she stopped wearing nappies in the day and by 3 years 3 months she stooped wearing them at night, and she has had only a few accidents.
