Apple Ipad 2 Query

Since I uploaded IOS8 a couple of months ago I have problems typing text into a search engine box Google for example.
I can type one character in the box middle of screen, then the box shifts to top of screen, I have to position the curser next to initial character then I can complete my search title text. Is it me who has changed a setting or is this a problem related to IOS8?. Many thanks

I've been here - I had a brainstorm and realised it must be due to 'predictive text' being on!

Go to settings-general-keyboards and switch off 'predictive text' - and your right, this little 'feature' came in with IOS8 and it's really annoying!

Tried your suggestion Mick, sort of works with predictive text switched off but not consistent so set predictive text back on. Do you know if Apple are aware of this bug? I'll maybe try to find a way to tell them about it.

I had the same thing happen to me with my iPad 2 except whenever the box jumped to the top of the screen it made me click on whatever google was promoting on that day and then go to that page, now it just jumps to the top of the page and let's me carry on typing, very strange

Kjn2 have had a couple of updates but no luck. Might contact Apple to complain.

Mick, I have just switched off my predictive and lo and behold....no more jumping around in Google land....very pleased.
