I Need A New Mobile Phone

My Blackberry will no longer hold a charge I tried a new battery but no good. I am with Virgin and have had look and think I have narrowed it down to Sony Xperia m2 or Samsung GalaxyS111 mini. I only use it for texting and accessing Google so do not need(and am not prepared to pay out for) an iPhone. Has anybody tried either of the 2 phones I have mentioned and what do you think.

I have the Sony Xperia L with Virgin and love it. Got it last year and it was my first smart phone. It's very straight forward and reliable Margo. I pay £11 per month with so many free this and thats. My bill is never more than the £11

Thanks Mazie. That's the one, I thought £11 was a good price for a smartphone and I want something easy to use. I loved my Blackbery because of the keyboard but have been using an iPad for a while now so think I can cope with a 'virtual' keyboard, if that's what you call them!

I'd never sent a text until I got this phone about 9 months ago. (how shameful is that !) I'm at it all the time now :o)

Oh dear don't know what to do now. Think I will go into a mobile shop and see if I can try both of them!

I have the Galaxy S3 big one with vodafone @ £17 a month and I love it. The price per month is usually linked to your plan so if you want to use it for google etc check the download limit you'll get.

I have the Galaxy III mini with Virgin and it's fine, I too don't use it for all the social media etc. so a cheap deal suits me, I pay £14/month but it was a special deal as a long term customer which I gather they don't do anymore!

I have a redundant Galaxy Ace with spare battery.I now have an I phone and changed from Virgin to Tesco.
I would happily post my working Galaxy to you F.O.C. but how.Beds is a big place unless we meet under the clock tower at Victoria Station.I will have a carnation in my button hole and be wearing a trilby.xx:-)

Mcfluff - think I would get it for £11 because we have everything else with Virgin ( broadband house phone TiVo etc).
Retro - what a very kind offer, but I want a white phone (I know it's stupid but that is ME all over. Mind you I fancy a tryst at Victoria Station! A trilby and a carnation sounds very fetching! When you are feeling better we can arrange to meet halfway with OH's and have lunchx
