In the days when both my grandmothers were alive my mother would not allow me to use the word 'Nanna', deeming it to be common. It had to be grandma.

My Mother's Mum was called Nana by all grandchildren and Her Father was addressed by all members of the family as Our-Dad. On my Father's side it was Mom and Pop to all.......their children and grand children.
