Theatre Trip

Went to Edinburgh today with a friend to see Spamalot. Joe Pasquale was in the lead and it was a wonderfully funny show. Lots of bits and pieces from Monty Python including "Always look on the bright side of life". Tears of laughter running down my face at times - highly recommended.

It's one of those shows that I keep telling myself I really ought to get to see but I never seem to get to. However I see that it will be at the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend soon, so I might finally get to see it. (The Cliffs Pavilion is one of my favourite theatres in the country. I've got lots of lovely memories of seeing shows there).

Joe Pasquale isn't an entertainer that I'd normally go out of my way to see but (20 years ago) I was pleasantly surprised when I saw him at Butlin's in Bognor Regis. (Yes, Butlin's really. I know how to live the high life!)

Buenchico, he wasn't one of my favourites either until I saw him in The Producers about 3 years ago and just loved it. Hope you get to see Spamalot, sure you'll enjoy it.

I've just been looking at the website, BB, and I might be considering the Saturday matinee (because that leaves time for the pub afterwards if we travel by train) but I'm going to have to ask my mate if he's interested first.

I saw the original of this MANY years ago in NY and the wonderful David Hyde Pierce was in it. I laughed the entire time. It was wonderful. If anyone hasn't already seen it... get out there and go go go. You won't regret it.

I saw this show in Norwich and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. You don't need to be a Monty Python expert to get the jokes, its good for anyone with the faintest sense of humour!
