Several years back a band covered 'The mamas and papas' hit 'California dreaming' I know theres probably been several covers but i'm looking for one in particular,it could even be as far back as the 80s,thanx for any help!

I think that's a good call shell1979, didn't they go under the name of River City People ?. It was around the end of the 80's possibly early 90's.

yes did go under the name of River city peole. Then became with the drummer of Bangles Kindred Spirit I Think

Bobby Womack did a version that was on a car advert relatively recently.

River City People, 1990. A double-A sided single coupled with the decidedly less cheery Carry The Blame, a song about the guilt felt by a woman after an abortion. Surprisingly, that side didn't get so much airplay. Funny, that. :-)
