How much does a hog roast cost?

Hi.
Just thinking about possibly having a Hog Roast as the buffet in our wedding instead of a buffet. I was just wondering if anyone had an idea of how much it is to hire someone to come in with a hog roast?

I 'googled' hog roast hire and there's quite a few companies on there. I think you'll probably need to contact them to give you a quote depending on where you are and how many guests there will be. Sounds a good idea though.

ring round local butchers/bakeries, you might find they do them too. Sorry i cnat help with the cost though, I had one at my 21st many moons ago but it'd be a bit cheeky to ask my parents how much it was!

we were going to have one in the summer it was about �500 and they got one sandwich and stuffing or sauce, they said people may get two depending on how many people were there.

My cousin was quoted over £20 per head by the golf club he had his wedding reception at, but in the end he had a hog roast with salads, sauces, stuffing, bread etc for £7.50 per head which was a massive saving.
