8 Way Tv Booster Not Working

Hi,

I am having an issue get a digital TV signal to 6 rooms around my house. I have a perfectly good aerial as if I connect directly to one TV i pick up channels with a good signal but If I connect it to a 8 way booster the tvs only pick up 10 channels and they are poor quality. Does anyone have any advice?

I have tried to different boosters and they are not cheap ones.

8 is a heck of a lot for any booster to cope with.

well its only 6 but surely they must be able to do it otherwise why do they make them?

You can only amplify a signal so much before saturation occurs. Try adding the cables to one room at a time. You may have a dodgy cable

so far I am only testing it with one room. So I have a cable from the room that goes into the loft and the aerial cable from the roof into the loft. If I join them two together with a simple joiner it works. If however I plug them both into the booster and only them they don't work. on Two different boosters!

Are you sure that you've put the aerial cable into the correct position on the booster ie the input. Also are you sure that the booster is receiving power. Sorry to sound condescending but most times the solution is something simple.
