Aye every one is entitled to be deemed thrust worthy and some time we feel let down but the next person deserves the same rights as the previous person .

I would assume that an adult might trust other people but don't extend that trust when it comes to their children.

I don't think people do have a right to be trusted. I think they have a right to be viewed neutrally until they have earned trust or distrust
