thanks, not quite sure about this, anyone have any experience?
i havent used one myself but my friends swears by them. She's always banging on about how much easier they are, more hygenic, cheaper etc. But i'm in two minds about what they'd be like....She always says she cant feel it once its there, never leaks or anything but i'm not 100% convinced....
I've never heard of it before but I'm willing to give it a try. I'm going to buy one. Let's reconvene here in 3 months time and cast our opinions. :o)
yeah ive just been having a good read of the site above and is does sound quite good... can youb buy them from a store rather than online? i hate putting card details on net!
ooh dont worry boots do them!

But how do you change it if you're out all day and have to use a public restroom?

Estie, I would suggest packing a couple of tampons in your handbag in case of emergencies, at least until you get used to the mooncup.
its says you can pour and wipe, or take a bottle of water to rinse it out..

champagne, i like your idea, will pop out to boots later and get one, i'm just a bit unsure about public toilets but i'm sure were there's a will there's a way!
I already have one and it truly is the best thing ever. i can't say it's never leaked, but then again when has a tampon never leaked. The only time I have had a leak was the night of day one. It has never leaked during the day.

When out in public, I have tipped it down the bowl and wiped out with a wet wipe and then dried with a tissue. Its quite rare that i'm out for that long though.

They are so much better than tampons especially as I can't use them as I'm a high risk TSS person. No risk at all with mooncup.

You should try them girls, you'll save a fortune and they are so much more environmentally friendly. They say you can tip the contents into your house plants and it is really good plant food, but I have to say, I've never done that. Lines have to be drawn somewhere.

I think they are like a reusable tampon rather than a disposible one.I think they are very eco-friendly.

Just a quick question though- if you're out and about and need to use public toilets, aren't the other women washing their hands at the sink horrified watching you tip that thing in the sink?

Oh and wont you then need to go back into the toilet to put in back in again???? Then come out and wash your hands again?????????

I own a moon cup and it's utterly crap. Not because of leakage, but because I don't have a vagina like a wizard's sleeve; it's big, and uncomfortable, and quite difficult to get in / out!

I prefer <target='_blank' href="http://www.seapearls.co.uk/">Sea Pearls</a> as they're natural, and you don't feel them at all. For changing in public toilets you can just take the old one out and pop it in a tissue or plastic bag til its convenient to wash it: There's 2 per pack and last about 3 months per sponge (so 6 months total, per pack). I have a very heavy flow and they don't leak at all, and you can leave them in as long as you like as they don't cause TSS. Personally I'd try this before forking out for a moon cup.

Oh, and if you must use tampons, go for unbleached organic cotton like NatraCare. xxx
That link went a bit haywire. AB doesn't like me.

I don't tip it down the sink, that would be gross, I take some wet wipes into the cubicle with me, tip it down the pan, clean it up, dry it off, put it back in (easily for me I might add) and wipe my hands. I then wash my hands at the sink like regular people.

I don't have a problem with getting them in or out, though I did snip the long stalk bit off as it was just too ridiculously long. However, I have given birth 4 times (5th wasa section) so maybe that's why?

I guess they don't suit everyone, but I really like mine and wish I'd bought it years ago.
