...which supposedly would cut down the amount of Spam I get in my inbox. It doesn't really work but I would like to uninstall it because if my speaker is not on mute it gives an annoying bong every ten minutes to let me know it has checked. I do not know how to uninstall it. I am on W8.something and Chrome browser. I have configured my W8 to operate like W7 via classic skell.

Mailwasher only works with email clients (such as Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail or Thunderbird), not with web-based services. Perhaps that's where your problem lies?

To uninstall a program you need to access the Control Panel. In a (simulated) Windows 7 environment you do that via the Start button. Then go to 'Programs' (or 'Programs and Features'). Click to highlight the program and then on 'Uninstall'.
PS: Mailwasher is a program that learns what is, and isn't spam over a period of time. So it might be worth giving it a bit longer to do its job.

If you go into 'Sounds' from your the Windows Control Panel, changing the 'New mail notification' to 'none' should get rid of the 'bong'.
