I watched for a few minutes, got confused because he's clearly not a real judge, it's clearly not a real courtroom, felt it was incredibly misleading and weird, hated him with a passion and vowed never to let it darken the /Tv screen ever again. Horrible TV.
Don't think I've ever seen a Judge Judy episode less than 10 years old, but they are an easy watch, + I'm rather fond of Byrd ;)

I may be in the minority, but I love Judge Rinder, he makes me laugh.
The Buffoonery Barrister needs to be Judged. I would vote him as a complete insult to the uk's legal profession. However, he'll most probably make more money as a Pretend Judge on TV than a real Barrister in a real court.

Hans.
I agree with Tizzi24. Most of last week's programmes were hilarious. Just appeal to my sense of humour, I suppose. Today's first case is a bit boring though.
I love this programme, so comical, and yesterdays made me roll up.
He should have his own reality tv drag show. lol
Will he be able to bring the necessary gravitas to his role in the courtroom after this flirtation with television stardom?
Are the cases.......real?
Oh, thanks for mentioning that , pusskin. I missed it and wondered whether it was worth looking at.
losgigs, try and get it on demand. Well worth watching and will have you in stitches.
Sqad, these are real cases. Y/days programme was hilarious with Judge interacting with a gay man.
From what I have read here will not both with "Judge" Rinder.
Now Judge Judy I love.
Such shallow, homophobic and bigoted comments. Surly the programme should be judged (no pun intended) on its functional merits first and drama value second.

Having watched Judge Judy over the years I have found much of her legal judgement highly dubious based on more upon her emotion and playing up to the cameras and direction of the producer rather than considered on the evidence measured against the law.

Interestingly, Robert Rinder is not a judge per se but a barrister. This probably goes some way to explaining why his judgements are pragmatic and more measured against the actual evidence in deference to the law.

Judge Rinder is less dramatic, despite any notional limp wrist or fake tan, than Judge Judy but I very much feel it fulfills it's remit and is entertaining in that it instills an interest in legal protocol and social behaviour than the glitzy Hollywood-esque pizzazz of Judge Judy. So, if I may now join in by becoming judgmental and using outlandish stereotypes; Robert errs slightly more towards a BBC Radio 4 You & Yours style of engaging entertainment where the audience is encouraged to think whereas Judy provides banality for a a disengaged TOWIE-loving audience with the attention span of a Shubunkin and a moral compass based on knuckle-dragging Nazi gay-bashing hatred. Just saying like. I thank you.
