Mr Farage came in for much criticism over his HIV remarks, but so did all those who agreed with him, along with the usual remarks homophobic, racist, xenophobia, alarmist etc.
Well it would appear that it is those who criticised who are in the minority,
/// 52 per cent thought Mr Farage was ‘right to raise this issue - immigrants with serious conditions like HIV are costing the health service a large amount of money’ this compared with 37 per cent who picked: ‘Nigel Farage was just scaremongering - compared to the total cost of the NHS this is a drop in the ocean’, and 11 per cent did not know. ///

So, reading between your lines then, jim, we have an obligation to provide free treatment to anyone with a communicable disease that steps on these shores in case they either spread it here (if they are allowed to stay) or spread it abroad (if they are sent away). Do you really think that people who have paid their dues and who are on a waiting list for treatment (perhaps in pain) would see this as fair?

The main p.c. problem here is the lack of pro-checking.
Nonaccountability is the tolerated political norm, the mass media permitting partisan propaganda without scrutiny: welcome to the idiocracy.

I doubt they would. But as I'm constantly reminded, life isn't. Which in turn brings me to the suggestion that you stop such sick people coming in in the first place through mandatory health checks, if there's to be any realistic action on this. I don't see that it's any good standing over the sick immigrants and tutting -- and while, yes, it's a drain on our resources, I'd argue that it's a necessary expense.
