Hi,

In the programme missing, the majority of people featured all seem to have been suffering from stress in one way or anyone and just disappeared. I couldn't help but question wether I.D cards would help track down some of these? Or would this not work?

They'd chuck away their ID card if they didn't want to be found? Also someone would need to find them and check their ID and then confirm this with the missing person's database... But finding them and checking their ID is probably the biggest part of the problem.

I'm kind of skeptical about ID cards, though, so maybe someone else can answer that from a different perspective. x

True. I was kind of thinking of more when they applied for one but I guess they wouldn't?

I've noticed that on this programme it's mostly caring families who are searching for their loved ones, but in real life all sorts of people go missing for all sorts of reasons. It may be in some cases that they go missing for their own safety, or that of their children, so would it be a wise thing to make it possible to trace everyone who disappears? Shouldn't there always be a place to hide if neccessary?
