Sunday World Codeword

Wondering if anyone has finished the Codeword. The letters i have for the shaded squares are WNHDZ. The Z is right but my other letters fitted in with code key . WNHDZ is supposed to be a Surname. Have I made a mess of the whole grid. Many thanks

If the setter has messed it up he should be sacked I've spent time on it and only buy this paper for the crosswords, you have to post these comps to Dublin R.O.I and from here it costs £1 for a stamp!

I have the same letters.
I am disappointed at this change, I found the other crossword fun as well as educational, also i felt had a better chance of winning when it went to the Belfast address, post only being 63p and on a few occassions I could drop the crossword in the office in Royal Avenue.

Agree poorclare. I liked the previous crossword not happy with new format, I sent them an email about this but no reply, stamps are expensive enough without having to pay to send to Dublin I don't even read the paper only bought it for the crossword will have to look for an alternative!

I had same problem, I answered it as Heinz, it is the setter problem, they often look for a name or place and you find you have tulip or something, since it changed format past few weeks it is useless, that cryptic and quick crossword are a joke and are we supposed to post both crosswords in same envelope? the entry form is crosswords @ sunday world. I'm wondering was there a mistake in the quick clue today even, I couldn't get an answer fit in an answer even though there was no other solution

Agree this rag has definitely gone to the dogs, the two crosswords cryptic and quick are to be sent in same envelope but noticed today that there are separate winners how come!

agree totally with your disappointment as yes this paper covers nothing but crime,crime and more crime and quite frankly I never read it only get it for the crosswords and now these don't seem worth doing considering the cost of the paper and postage

It's much easier for them if everyone sends both entries in one envelope and it saves postage costs for those sending them in.
I think there would be complaints if the same person won both so iIm not surprised the winners are different.
