Loose elastic?

The elastic in my big baggy bloomers has stretched so much, they keep falling down!

It's such a nuisance trying to hold them up whilst I'm pushing my zimmer frame around the supermarket!

I'm currently using safety pins, but wondered if anyone could recommend a good strong elastic, which will see me through a few more years?

You don't need elastic Smudge. Get a bit of old boot lace and tie it round ya. That should do the trick just fine... or how about a nice pair of braces. Lovely ;o)

let them fall to the ground smudge,step out of them and keep walking,the fresh air will do you good,they aren't worth repairing,I will knit you a pair,with a lint gusset!!!

Ray has just reminded me of something my Mum once saw. Years ago she was walking behind a woman, when all of a sudden the woman's knickers fell down!! She just stepped out of them and carried on walking!!! Could just be a warning for you there Smudge! Make sure that knicker elastic is good stuff!
