Knitted Jumpers

Does anyone have any idea where i'd go for hand knitted jumpers, preferably skinny rib one's. I do not know anyone that knits and i'd rather prefer to have some hand knitted jumpers rather than shop brought. I had family now gone that used to knit and I miss having the jumpers. I have tried asking locally if anyone knits orders for people but even in the one wool shop it seems people only do it for friends and family.

Etsy is the world's biggest website for people to sell things that they've made themselves (such as jewellery, clothing, handbags, etc). So that might be a good place to start:

However simply having a word with the person who runs your local wool shop might be an even better idea. They'll probably know several people who accept commissions to knit sweaters. So you can choose your own pattern and wool from the shop and simply let them knit exactly what you're looking for.

Have you tried the charity shops? Many people donate hand-knitted baby garments so they may have 'regulars' that would be willing to help.
Or, is there a 'knit and Natter' group near you? They may take commissions.

You've tried what would have been my first route, the Wool Shop. Maybe try one in the next town?

Is there a Facebook page for your town/village? Try asking on there.

You can always Google - Bespoke hand knitted garments -but be prepared for some of the prices.

Depending where you live .... try your local craft market. There are lots of knitters at the market I work on ... Greenwich. Almost all the people who make their own product take commissions/ orders.
