Perfume Testing

I'm testing a perfume for The Body Shop, it arrived this morning and I have to answer a few surveys. It came in a plain bottle with an identification number on it. Not sure why, as it's clearly White Musk.

Why do they retest available products.

How can you be sure it's identical to existing White Musk ?

My daughter wears it all the time so the house reeks of it, even the poor dog smells like a big girl.

It could be that they have slightly altered one component and are testing to see the reaction since the change.

I actually like White Musk, so I'm glad I didn't get one of the other ones.

i like body shop white musk, haven't bought any in ages, how do i get to be a tester and get it for free :-)

It could be that someone has tried to duplicate the smell of White Musk to sell under their own name.

Fluff, I got an email asking to complete a quick survey, then they said 'congratulations, you're one of 300 selected'. It's a decent sized bottle and I think it's the parfum as it's still going strong.

Well Rocky, LIDL were selling "smellalikes" the other month (NOT fakes, as such). My wife tested one and bought it and is very pleased with it (smells the same and it lasts all day). NOT a fake, just a cheaper duplicate smell.

I doubt White Musk is expensive enough to bother with to be honest, you never know though.
