Elderly Relative Is Looking For A 4Ft 6 Electric Bed With A Mattress Can Any Tell Her The Cheapest Place To Buy One
4 Answers
An elderly relative is looking for a 4ft 6 electric bed with a mattress and wonders if any one can tell her the cheapest place to buy one in the UK and any advice on the best type. She is just finding it difficult to sit up in bed in the morning and lie down at night. She has looked online but there seems to be so many and the prices differ that she is not sure which one to go for. Also she wondered if she could use an ordinary mattress from her bed on an electric bed as it is only a few months old.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.

I don't think a regular mattress works the same on the electric beds as on a regular bed. Maybe if she didn't want to change to an electric bed just for getting in or out of the bed, she could use a bed rail. http:// www.wel comemob ility.c o.uk/De partmen ts/Bedr oom/Bed -Rails. aspx

Your elderly relative might qualify for one of these from Social Services. They work with a remote control and are placed under your mattress. Even if they don't qualify, they are cheaper than buying an electric bed. x
