the house that i liked went to best and final offers today, and we didn't get it, i'd already mentally moved in - ooops.
At least the other offer was over 10k better than ours, i'd be gutted if we lost it for a thousand :)

Yes. Back in 1988 we were gazumped and were devastated. Six months later we were successful with another property and lived there happily for 22 years.

Soooo pleased, we didn't get the first house.
