Due to outdoor running, damp feet ( presumably anyway) ive developed a nasty infection under big toe nail. Should I bother my GP with this? I have heard poor reviews re the over counter treatments?

I'd go to my doctor so I'd know what I'm dealing with.
go to doc....over counter stuff did not work for oh ..and was expensive to boot...
GP's the best idea. Be prepared for a lengthy treatment period though, six months is not unusual.

Thanks guys.
Will book in with GP next week.
Its a little but unsightly, the nail is probably 2/3 yellowy brown and the end of the nail is flaky. Never had this before, only thing I can think, as previously mentioned, is I have been doing a lot of cross country running, often coming home with damp and/or sweaty feet!
jd don't be so fit !! lol..hope your tootsies are good soon !

Yes, go to see your doc. You'll see an improvement quite quickly but need to keep up the treatment for approx 6 months as Douglas said.
