I broke my wrist 4 weeks ago...had plaster cast on, which was removed yesterday...was shocked at amount of pain I'm in, but apparently iv pulled a ligament as well...got a splint to wear now for another 4weeks...I have a high pain threshold, but even so, am finding it hard to cope with...doc says it's normal...couldn't bear anyone to touch my arm, so was wondering if reiki would help relive the pain?

Colles fracture...does it make a difference?
Try reiki, also try slaughtering a cockerel at midnight and dancing around the corpse naked.
I would suppose if you believe in it then it might have a positive influence, but since like squad I'm not a believer in that sort of thing it is only a guess. I hope that the pain will ease.
Thank you......but hardly worth a Best Answer.

Yes it does matter....to me.

If it was a fractured Scaphoid, then severe pain would have had a sinister significance, as they tend not to be painful.
It is not unusual for Colles fractures to be painful for a considerable time, but usually well controlled by analgesics.

Reasses the situation after a week and if the pain has not improved then seek medical help.
the doc who said it was normal......did he prescribe/suggest pain relief and if so what?
