Anyone Else Not Exist?

Have just attempted to renew my driving licence on-line (quick and easy it says on the renewal form). Have followed all the steps, put in National Insurance number, passport number etc , only to receive a message saying they can't verify my identity and my driving licence is now no longer valid!
Anyone else had this problem?

Not impressed that they have now invalidated a driving licence that doesn't actually run out until 17 June

forgive me if I am dopey here. How can you renew the licence without a recent photograph.

I've still got my paper licence. It says it's valid until I'm 70. That'll do me.

It states on the form that they will use your passport number to then re-use the photo from that to put onto your new driving licence
