i my self have a large collection of beta tapes to transfer over to dvd. their isn't any beta/dvd recorder combo's on the market as such, as vhs killed of the beta, pity cause the vhs was a crappy quality compared to beta.
any how if you do not have a beta machine there are still a few lurking in second hand curio shops or at car
bootie sales, but be wary. the only way you can transfer beta to dvd is by checking the beta player has a av/ audio, video out signal compatible with today's gear and mabye going to maplins for adaptors as some models have special fittings.
if all this sounds nightmarish don't be put off, you can buy a full video adaptor kit from around 8 which has all the bits you will ever need and all the different bits ever used on video equipment. dvd burners separates are cheaper than chipps nowadays, the only prob's are if you dont own a beta recorder you will have to do some searching for one.
ps
if any tapes play funny and slow , will not fast forward or rewind in any old video or tape playing equipmnent it is usually due to drive belts need renewing, you can purchase drive belts of any discribtion at component retailers or get them replaced at component retailers such as maplins as they do a cheap servicing service.
