Every time I come online or try to open a page I get ' This Page Can't Be Displayed' It tells me to go into Internet Options>Advanced> Security and make sure the TLS and Some other setting are enabled. Should all the boxes be ticked or just one out of each group. It is driving me crazy as I have to wait at least 10 minutes to gain access to things and that includes refreshing the page several times each time the above message appears.
What type of device are you using? (e.g. a Windows PC or an Android tablet?).
Which browser are you using? (Internet Explorer? Firefox? Chrome? Safari?)
Have you tried a different browser? (If the problem occurs with more than one browser then it's probably a fault with your internet connection, rather than with any settings within those browsers).
Hi Buenchico
I'm using a Windows PC (8)
Internet Explorer
I haven't used a different browser because this is the one that I chose when I set it up. I don't know how to change it. It was working fine until it had to go in to be repaired. Mum's laptop does the same thing and she has 2 different browsers but sadly my internet connection is fine all the other things work off it. I guess I can live with it but its just blooming annoying.
The video below might possibly help but most people around here will fall about laughing if they read that you're using Internet Explorer!
Download Firefox from here:
https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/new/
Then simply double-click on the file that you've downloaded in order to install a decent browser!
Its what I'm used to and its what I like...let them laugh if they like I'm really not bothered LOL.
I'll have a go at that later i'm in the middle of working just now - hows the kitties by the way?
The kitties ain't kitties any more! (The biggest two are over 6kg; their mum only weighs 4kg!). They're all fine, thanks, but they're costing me a fortune to feed and getting some sleep is rather difficult. (Three of the cats usually sleep on my bed, so I try to kip on a 2-seater settee. However that's not too easy because the other two cats have to be accommodated on it at the same time!)
Blimey but they are worth it though. All ours sleep upstairs occasionally mum's cat will sleep on OH's side of the bed. I can sympathise though they aren't cheap to run. We did get a load of cat food on sale in Sainsburys last week (might be worth a look incase)
