Congratulations! You might find it a bit difficult to adjust though.

Whole new life to organise, good luck!
no difficulty , well done. enjoy your much deserved rest, enjoy.
yes, have you got a life plan for what happens next? Will you, for instance, be tripping over an OH all day whom you only saw in the evenings before?
Enjoy your retirement mtw1, have you got your hobbies/holidays/night's out worked out?
Congratulations, mumstheword1

Enjoy your retirement, relax and take things nice and easy x
soon you will wonder where you found the time to work !

I was self employed, packed it in end of June last year, aged 62. was a good move no regrets at all, but you got to stay positive imo.

Oooh no not retired. I was lucky to get Voluntary redundancy. Applied for 1 job had second interview yesterday morning and they phoned me just after lunch and offered me the job. But have got at least a month off before I start. So I feel very blessed at the way things have worked out and know that I am very fortunate
Oh you'll enjoy the month's break. I did - and then I got bored.
Well done mumstheword1, it sounds as if it has worked out well for you.
Wow. Before I retired I used to leave work nearly every (working) day - over 36 years without leaving is incredible.

Yes, I know, I should get out more :-)
I worked until I was 72, because I thought I would get bored at home, but retirement suits me and I wish I had retired much sooner. I hope you enjoy your retirement, I now have so much to do that I don't know how I ever managed to go to work.
