I have been trying to cut down the stemetil and only had one yesterday, however I have woken up dizzy this morning...so I have just had another one, it has been 3 weeks now, how long do you think this will last? I am going round in circles quite literally.
If the diagnosis is correct and I do believe that it is and if you are trying the exercises that I suggested, then it may well be a few weeks before it settles completely.
Be patient.
However, there may be an outside chance, indeed quite a long shot, that the true diagnosis is benign paroxysmal positional vertigo which has quite a more prolonged period of recovery.
I think feeling dizzy, is the worst feeling in the world. I have attacks of dizzy migraines and literally cant move off the bed, it throws me into a panic.
Hi Creamegg - I suffer terribly with vertigo/menieres disease. When I get an episode it is usually for 24-48 hours and with it dry vomiting/boaking/nausea. Can be very bad. I have been suffering with these for over 4 years now. I dread them when they happen.
I don't take anything for them as I found out through experience - whether I was taking the tablets OR not I still got the attacks. My sympathy goes to you. JjCon
Sympathy from me too (have Menieres). It took me a long time to get more used to it but I found some meditation type practices quite useful for feeling a little more grounded when feeling off balance. Things like controlled breathing and feeling connected to the ground and giving a focus etc... Not sure if anything like that would help? Trying to improve things you can't control rather than fighting something you can't, if that makes sense?
