Women's Equality Party

Since we already have a Minister for Women and Equalities, is there any reason for a Women's Equality Party as set out by comedian Sandi Toksvig?

I would imagine so. The post you mention says it is for women, whilst the party states it is for equality.

I'm not really sure what the party stands for. Women's equality in what? It appears to be focussing upon sexual harassment and violence towards women more than anything else.

Its clear that women still don't have perfect equality with men in Britain, but I am not sure we need a new political party.

Sandi states that her new Party is a single issue party, but we have heard that before, and where did it get us ! Mr Farage is all over the media, day in, day out. Much as I like and admire Sandi, I'm not sure I want to see that much of her !
