I saw a copy of a authentic looking historic by-law, notice, public notice, rules?????? poster in a friends bathroom. It alluded to how to treat a public water closet in London in the 19th century. Since then I've been searching the web for other "by-laws, notices" but to absolutely no avail. Anything would be great - how to avoid illness,(cholera eg) what to wear at the seaside, etc. Does anyone know of a site?
