I think it is chilling in that the mothers thought they had drilled it into their children not to go with strangers......yet how easily a stranger becomes a friend with a puppy to a child....x

It doesn't surprise me that the child goes off with the stranger, the gullibility of the parent is staggering.

Yes, chilling but not at all surprising.

It is really only when they are a bit older than those shown can you expand the warnings to include scenarios like puppies/sweeties and other inducements.

At that age vigilance is the absolute key.

The purpose of the message is admirable but the video doesn't come off as entirely genuine, the kids could well have seen the guy talking to their mums first for example. They certainly went off far more readily than I'd expect.

Steg: I'm the same. I watched the first two and had to stop watching. I think I'm going to have to have a word with my nephew and niece and tell them exactly what's going to happen if they talk to anyone they don't know :/

Well, it was staged. It was an experimental video set up to show how easily a child can be abducted. As many of you have already said, let "vigilance" be the parents' watchword.

It's a hard call. You have to remember that there aren't that many paedophiles.
