Labour's Record On Unemployment
I have no idea whether this is true, but I read over the weekend that every Labour government we've ever had has left the country with more unemployment when they left office than when they entered office.
Is this a fact?

Or offering jobs that because of the pay or conditions are hardly worth the holding ? Or is it genuine economic miracles ? I seem to recall some Tory governments devastating industries with their determination to follow some economic creed or other, no matter what misery it inflicted on the people. I'd be somewhat surprised if they always managed to turn the figures around by the end of their term. They'd be leading a charmed life it would seem.
Reading my own post back, I realise I've applied my own spin and thus misrepresented my own mum's words. She was talking from the Tory stance, trying to deter me from voting Labour, by explaining this was the likely consequence.

or it could be that Capital Flight is reversed, whenever tax cutters are in office?
As the saying goes, "a rising tide floats all boats".
Note: there is no conspiracy, as such. Those with accumulated wealth are practically forced to invest it or else see its value decay. They just shunt it around the planet according to which country is growing fastest. When every country is as grown and stagnant as the developed world, they'll have to actively smash things up, just to create "growth opportunities" again.

If sounds it sounds a great advertisement for communism. Keep those with selfish self interest out and use a country's own wealth to fund what that country and its people need. I'm confident value need not decay, there is no obvious reason why keeping investment in one country is going to destroy it any more than keeping it on one planet does.
