Why do some people have to use potentially abusive versions of Ed Milliband's name when referring to him (we've already seen millimoses amd millipede this morning) ?

Descending to name-calling is usually a sign of poverty of valid argument.

//The worst I've seen anyone call Osborne is Gideon, which is actually his name//

guilty as charged on that one. If we're calling him George in future, so be it...

oh the other politicians are way behind when it concerns abusive names for Nicola Sturgeon on AB :( very childish !!!!
I agree this type of name calling and warping isn't new - still doesn't make it funny or at all make one want to enter into a debate with someone.
For the most part I agree, but I have to admit "EdStone" and "Millstone" were quite funny (both better than "Milimoses"). If you're going to come up with a stunt like that, you deserve to have the pee mercilessly taken out of you in whatever way is available. This should be natural selection in action, as it should discourage such idiotic stunts in future ... but unfortunately in 2015 they're still happening.
lol, humbersloop, hard to tell which one sucks the most.
