Hi Snappy!

Not sure about how long etc.. but just a warning for you :o)
I started on my exercise bike last week without any shoes on. I was on it for 30mins non-stop. I think I must have strained my toe by trying to keep my feet on the pedals (which wouldn't have happened if I had trainers on!) I have been in agony ever since and the pain has now moved down to the ball of my foot. So be warned lol

Also, I would maybe start off slow and gradually over time just keep going that bit further. Don't over exert yourself straight away.

Good luck and enjoy it!!! :o)

Why not gently warm up doing ten minutes every other day for the first couple of weeks if you haven't exercised for a while. It's better to start off very gently and gradually notch it up if you feel you can manage at that pace without strain. If you overdo things, you'll feel the strain and lose the motivation which would be a shame, having forked out all that money!
do what you can this week as next week it will become a clothes horse
