I tried to download some tunes to an iPod from my PC. I downloaded i-tunes OK from the supplies CD but as soon as I connect the iPod any running applications just freeze and alt/ctrl/del reveals that they have stopped responding. Any Ideas?

Try uninstalling, then downloading the latest version of iTunes from apple's website.
