Sound And The Ipad

Good morning A/b's my question is I have lost sound on all my games ( eg scrabble ,cribbage and all my other games ) I still have sound on other apps such as I player YouTube ,I have turned the system off more than but still no sound. I hope someone can help my iPad is two and a half years old. Thanks

You might have the Mute button on...a Side Switch on the right side of the device.

I found this on the Apple Forum: I have never used the side switch for mute. I find it a stupid option, as the volume button can be used to mute sound. Nevertheless, changing it to "mute" in Settings, turning it off, then returning it to "lock" restored my game sounds.

Since all other sounds were working, this should have had no effect, but it brought back the sounds in spite of this inconsistency.
