Hi there Mackie, my sister went out to Thailand last September (she's now in Sydney) When she packed her rucksack it was only with the bare essentials, underwear, deodrant/washbag, couple of tops, training bottoms etc. She even sent some stuff home after a couple of weeks! Everything is cheap out there and obviously you're not gonna be aiming high in the fashion stakes! Have a marvellous time, she did (and still is!)
It does start to get into the wet season at the end of september especially in the north. So,if you plan to go treking you needs some good boots. Its got great street stalls and clothes markets that are cheap and cheerful so buy there.Take a first aid kit as well m8.ave a great adventure,i did.
I am a Thailand regular. I take the clothes that I am wearing and that is all. I buy a suitecase over there for ****** all and the clothes are so cheap, you will feel bad paying so little for them. Quality of stuff is pretty good despite the rumours.

Im trying to not over pack as everything i take is gonna be on my back.Thank you for all your help.

Get good boots and walking sandals here before you go and wear them in. (Also think about socks for boots)

Sorry if you've already thought about this.

Have a good time and take care :)

Cool, i did think about it but i havent put the plan into action yet. Will do tho thank you (",)
Just a thought Mackie, if you're gonna be away for a while you might want to look at www.myworldjournal.co.uk where you can purchase a journal that all your friends and family can read your updates and see your photos. I got my sis one as a going away pressie and it's a fab way of following her travels. Think it cost about 30 ish for the year.
