Airlines usually require ID on internal flights, but a driver's licence would do. If you're walking, no, not until the Government forces ID cards on us all.

NO,but to fly in this country you need some sort of photo id that is acceptable by the airline check the websites of easyjet and ryanair for details.

when I flew BMI from Manchester to London they didn't ask for any ID but I took it just incase we were hijacked and flown to Cuba! I took a bikini too, can't be too careful.
My Aunt travelled from England to Scotland last year and had to have a passport!!! The airline would not let her travel without it. (sorry don't know which airline)
Probably Ryanair. If she doesn't have a driving licence, or only has the old type, it's the only thing they will accept.
I live on Anglesey, when my nephew came to visit his dad told him he would need a passport, he brought it with him to show as he crossed the bridge!
my grandparents flew from Inverness to Luton on easyjet. My gran has never had a passport or driving licence. She used her OAP bus pass.
