PayPal Premier?

I have a PayPal personal account. I have started selling low value items (hand made greetings cards) on eBay. Do I need to upgrade to a Premier account? I will not be selling large quantities, nothing like a business, more of a hobby, with (hopefully) getting enough sales to pay for the expense involved in making the cards.

It's up to you entirely and nothing whatsoever to do with the volume of sales.

Paypal is free for personal accounts - hurrah! - but you cannot accept credit or debit cards payments. Only payments made with funds already in the buyers paypal account.

Paypal is horrendously expensive per centage wise for low value items - 20p plus at least 2% on every transaction.

However, you may lose sales if you restrict your buyers payment methods.

Consider taking direct bank transfer, where the buyer transfers payment directly into your current account. It is free for both parties but can take a few days to appear in your account. You will need online banking to monitor it effectively.

Ethel, thanks for reply. And thanks for answering my query about Photobucket the other day. I tried it at the weekend, but was unsuccessful. The pictures didnt appear in the eBay listing, only the name of the file.

I think I am probably doing something simple wrong, but cant figure it out. I am not good with technology, perhaps I am too old to grasp it!
