according to david cameron, if he gets in next time he will make sure all docs are available 7 days aweek and say some already are, is yours one of them?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.The only way that this is feasible is to train and employ a great many more GPs and nurse practitioners (since NPs can offer many of the services and prescriptions these days which GPs can do) - but knowing first hand the pressures in primary care at the moment, I can't see this working. Cameron says £2bn extra will go into the NHS - that won't cover the cost of employing all these extra senior staff, keeping the premises open and heated, etc.
Did he really say that ‘all doctors’ will be available 7 days a week? I doubt that very much. Doctors are available 7 days a week now, but you’re unlikely to get a visit from a doctor you know in the middle of the night. Perhaps he meant surgeries that have several doctors will work a rota system so that one or more of them is always on call.
