I might be going to Bermuda in June. I have looked at the beach (most important part for me) photos on Tripadvisor and you never see many people in the sea. I`m wondering if, as it`s the Atlantic that the sea might be freezing. Does anyone know? I know a couple of people on here have connections with Bermuda. I have been there a few times about 20 years ago but only remember whizzing around on mopeds and visiting beaches and I don`t remember going in the sea.
Thanks stuey. I`m not very good at equating temperature charts with how warm the water feels. Ie - Caribbean = warm, Med = OK ish, SW UK = flipping freezing. I was just wondering how Bermuda fares in comparison.
Well, to compare average sea temperatures in June for Montego Bay and Bermuda, Montego Bay is 84, and Bermuda is 78; therefore a difference of around 6 degrees
Thanks for the replies. Elbow beach looks nice for a day trip although there is no shade so probably wouldn`t stay long. The place I`m interested in is the other end of the island. Some of the women at aqua yesterday were wearing those rash vest thingies. Maybe I`ll get one of them it it`s too cold! Don`t know if I`m going yet - I`ll stay in this country if the weather`s nice so I`ll see how it pans out.
Some friends of mine have just returned from a cruise in this area and they visited Bermuda on 2 occasions. They said it was everything was very expensive, although they are archetypical Scots and find Poundland a bit on the dear side.
