Decided against making any serious efforts to develop long term relationships or start a family. In later years, I may have rationalised that choice in other ways (health issues) but, when I thought about it, that was the original reason. I didn't discuss it openly, so none of my friends were aware of it and thus couldn't talk me around. Oops.
These days, I don't believe things; I seek proof. The proof of a forthcoming outbreak of worldwide hippydom is too thinly spread for me to perceive it. Being such a miserable git, I probably wouldn't get an invite. If I did, I'd still invest in some condoms first.

I would do as I always do; work all day in my studio. When I used to smoke I stopped periodically for a cigarette, nowadays, as I have a PC in with me, I take a break by 'wasting time' on Answerbank, if Armageddon loomed, I'd probably have to drop the sorties into AB, stop prevaricating, and try to finish what I'm doing.
In the evenings I would start smoking again; - the finest Havana cigars I could find, with cognac ditto.
