Those That Are Working Here ...

... are you treating today as your Bank Holiday? Tomorrow will be like a Sunday to me, the last day of the weekend when you sort things out before back to work. So, I contemplated going out on my own somewhere with no fixed ideas as to what I'd be doing, may be a browse around. I'm a bit jaded though, I've just opened a bottle of Old Mout kiwi & lime cider , so, looks like I'm staying in. I'll probably watch Sherlock downloaded on my Kindle!

Somehow the head noticed I had an affinity with the special needs children... well mainly the naughty kids......(MrG says it came as no surprise to him) so I kind of filtered into the main school for some of the time.
We didn't have a spare classroom so I was give what had been the large store cupboard......
Made me smile when I heard anyone asking for me.......Oh she's in the cupboard at the end of the corridor......☺

Oh....I'd almost forgotten my other roles......art and display...and running the school library...
Partly because teachers were becoming so bogged down in paperwork those parts of their jobs were impossible to fit in.
The library wasn't as quiet and easy as you'd think...We were the first school to introduce finger printing to borrow and return books..
We were in a rough area and the parents objected strongly to their kids being fingerprinted...very strongly...gave up on that....
Then I blew up the library computer with one of those gel packs for injuries.....gel and the innards of a computer make a mighty stink.....☻
