I would still opt for AVG and avoid anything involving McAfee. Having said that I am still placing my trust in Microsoft Security Essentials which I have in My Desktop Computer and also my Laptop.
Talking of BT, I have always highly praised it, in the columns of AB. However, I am going off the ISP which is becoming problematic. The only reason I am staying with BT is because I am aware that, whatever Broadband Provider you have on a Telephone Landline, all connections are via a BT Telephone Exchange.
Often I am requested to re-enter my BT details which are unrecognised.(Account number, Telephone number etc.) Also, most evenings I am throttled of any Broadband and conversations with overseas Call Centres are now becoming somewhat pointless. No way will BT admit that it is at fault; it's always the case that there is something amiss with one's internal wiring; even when there isn't. The organisation has now become ridiculously complicated. Telephone Exchanges in the hands of BT Wholesale; Telephone Lines maintained by Openreach; Plusnet a subsidary of BT; Call Centres mostly in India where the staff speak English but appear unable to follow what is being said to them.
