what is meant by the term "messages and values" in film studies at AS-level for FS3? i didnt know which section to put this question by the way. Any answers are appreciated, thanks.

I typed:

into google and there are a lot of different summaries about the AS module on British and Irish cinema. If you look at the different results it might give you a better feel for what the specific meaning is in this context.

I'd imagine that the aim is to place the moral ideologies of groups of films into their social/historical context and look at the techniques used by film makers to convey these messages.
