That's because white is made up of all three colours fully 'on'. The term for your pixel is a 'stuck pixel'. Whether it's a cause for complaint under guarantee depends on the manufacturer - some will not acknowledge the screen's faulty unless there are more than 5 bad pixels! It's unlikely that this will cause any further problems. A bad pixel doesn't have any effect on the ones next to it.
