Help with laptops

Does anyone know of a reliable but cheap (ish) place to buy laptops from? Mine is breaking- being a student with serious amounts of work to do, this is a baaaaaaad thing.

Also what should I look for when buying a laptop, I wouldn't have a clue. Has to be cheap(ish) as I am your typical poor student)

Dell are inexpensive and offer a fairly good range of laptops.

They only sell online.

They have loads of offers in the paper most days.
