Looks like her progress in learning to drive is on the wrong track.

maybe the tank driver fancied his chances on a lottery 'roll-over'
Tanks for that Dave, what an idiot to pull out in front of them.
Surprised excel hasn't captioned this.....

"Queenie has another driving test."

The German report, from the Augustdorf police, uses the word übersah, which means overlooked. How could anyone overlook a column of tanks?
Bookbinder - did you see the street name too; it's plain obvious that there are military vehicles moving near the base, "Tankenringenstrasse".....

How did she miss that?
Yes, DTC, I did notice the street name. Even I, a non-German, would have been doubly on the alert if I saw that. Well, she was a learner [according to the English report] so perhaps she was concentrating too much on changing down and using her indicators.
Imagine explaining this to your parents and the insurance company.

Reminds me of a story of a German couple in one of those old Beetles. Apparently, she froze on him when engaged in 'coitus in curru' - an expression for in a car. They attracted someone who called the emergency services and the firebrigade was called out, not the doctor - their solution to cut them out as they couldn't even get close to get a needle in.

So the Beetle ends up looking like a sardine can rolled back.

Separated, she bursts into tears.

Fire officer, "It's okay, we've got you apart now, one of those things."

Her comment, in tears, "How am I going to explain the car to my husband?"
