Pluming/ Water Tank Problems

I had my boiler that wasn't working taken off the wall last friday, and both my hot and cold water taps worked fine. The following monday i had a different person come around to take my radiators off the downstairs walls and take out my kitchen sink. The hot water tap was then not used until tuesday. When i tried to have a bath only a small amount of water came out the tap and then nothing. i've spoken to both the plummer and the gas man and they are both saying it's the other person's fault and they want to charge me to come out and sort it out. Can anyone tell me who has messed up here please. i really think it's the plumber that came on monday as it was fine until then but they are saying it's the gas man's fault as he must of disconnected the supply to the water tank to take the boiler out, and i used the last of the water just before the plumber came. This must be a very big coincidence if that's the case though

If your boiler was not working, and then removed...how did your hot water work fine?

Immersion heater?

i had a big water tank and i just had to turn on a switch for an hour before i had a bath and it would heat the water in it up. i've had no heating for the winter as the boiler broke and didn't want to replace it as i knew it would have to be taken down again

Removing the boiler and then the rads should have no effect on the immersion system if a bit of thought is used.

It could have been either one of them. I'm guessing the problem is in the airing cupboard. I'd need a lot more information on your system to be sure though.

It's certainly possible to remove the central heating system and the boiler, but a couple of simple bypass connections may well be needed to keep the HW flowing.

If I were a betting man, I'd guess that the first guy isolated everything so as to remove the boiler...... then neglected to ensure the HW was running. Taking off rads and the sink should not mess up the HW.
