a pal has arthritis which necessitates her changing from tilling to putting things on shelves every hour as advised by her gp.Her well known high st company say they cannot accommodate her/this any longer FOR COMMERCIAL REASONS.dOES SHE HAVE ANY RIGHTS AND IS THIS A FORM OF CONSTRUCTIVE DISMAL/

Basically, employers must make reasonable adjustments to help disabled people at work. The problem is what is reasonable? I worked for M&S a couple of years ago, and I have a disability that affects my standing for long periods. They were excellent, and allowed me to vary my task as necessary. Also, talk to the disability employment advisor at your local jobcentre. Good luck.
