not that i need another one as i have 4 credit cards allready and overdrafts etc.

but vanquis sent me letter to say they had pre selected me, only reason i applyed and sent form away was because there was a credit card design with a union jack on it.

anyway , came back refused......i dont understand these credit companies.

They are just trying to temp you to apply in the hope you pass the credit check.

Pre selected, is usually qualified with 'if you meet our criteria' in the small print. Having moved a couple of times lately and an erratic employment history you will almost certainly be viewed as high risk. In some ways the CC companies prefer the high risk customers as they are the ones they make the most money from but they still pick and choose who they want to take a punt on.

Vanquis, APR 39.9%, I mean why would you?
I don't have a Credit Card, Debit Card works for me, I think because of that Vanquis keep offering me large amounts of credit at ridiculous APR Rates.
